Frequently Asked Questions

   FAQ

New here? Here are some commonly asked questions to get you started.

Can I participate in Communion?

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is generally offered on the first Sunday of the month, and during special holiday services. We practice an open communion, which means that all who desire to be united with Christ are welcome to partake. In our church we generally use either bread or wafers and grape juice (we do not serve wine).

Is there a dress code?

We want you to feel comfortable and encourage you to come as you are. In respect for one another we do ask that you refrain from wearing clothing that displays obscenities, racist, homophobic or otherwise hateful/offensive/hurtful messages. The building is heated in winter but we do not have A/C in summer. Each person’s comfort level is different so we encourage you to plan and dress accordingly for your comfort.

Can I bring my children?

Children are a gift from God and the gospels are very clear about Jesus welcoming children into his midst….and so do we! There are activity bags available at the back of the sanctuary to help occupy young children during the service. If you have need of it, there is a nursery room in our lower level, and restrooms adjacent to the sanctuary. An usher will be happy to direct and assist you if you have any questions or special needs.

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

Yes! There are wheelchair accessible entrances with power-assist doors to the sanctuary and the parish hall, both of which can be accessed from the sidewalk on Main Street.

Do you offer tours?

We encourage visitors to join us for worship on Sunday morning and afterward someone would be happy to show you around and answer questions. On occasion we do offer "open house" events where we can give more detailed history information and give tours and answer questions. If you would like to tour the building during the week, we ask that you call or email in advance to schedule a time.
